NEW NEW YORK: FAST FORWARD
Exhibition Design
Architectural League of New York
New York, NY

March 30-May 5, 2007
This Architectural League exhibition mapped more than six hundred new building and planning
projects from individual buildings to neighborhood-scale master plans, now under construction
or in planning, to provide a glimpse of the big picture: what is being proposed, where new
building is concentrated, what the buildings under construction will look like when completed.
LTL designed an anamorphic-stretched map of Manhattan onto which postcards describing each new
building project were connected to their designated locations in the city; the new projects
engulf the map. Three additional maps took on unique sites where extensive development is
under way: The Spring Creek Houses in East New York, the Bronx River Greenway, and west Chelsea.
Running around the gallery walls, twenty-five influential New York City architects offer their
opinions of the city's changing horizon through interviews conducted by curator Gregory Wessner.
